Health services
Health care services and social care services regularly work together and some services are now integrated, such as the Occupational Therapy and Mental Health teams.
Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs)
These were created in 2012 and replaced Primary Care Trusts. They are clinically led NHS bodies. They are responsible for planning and commissioning health care services in their local area.
The Clinical Commissioning Group that covers Cheshire West and Chester is NHS Cheshire and Merseyside. Visit the websites to see how you can get involved in decisions made about local health services.
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP)
This was formed in 2002. It provides mental health, substance misuse, learning disability and community physical health services. These services are provided in partnership with commissioners, local authorities, voluntary and independent organisations, people who use their services and their carers.
