Play Strategy
Play Strategy - tier one
A borough-wide strategy that provides guidance on policy and best practice in outdoor public play provision. This document explains why play is important and shows how the Play Strategy supports strategic policy such as the Council Plan, and the Health and Wellbeing and Growth agendas. It also embeds the principle of inclusive play throughout, stating how play areas and youth facilities should be designed so that they are accessible to disabled children and young people.
The Play Strategy will be the subject of an ongoing review process. The first review covers the period 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017, and provides an update on progress in implementing the strategy and associated actions.
