Memorials procedure

Stage one	You will need to complete and submit Application Form. Personal details will be logged in the memorials database. This will be password protected in accordance with our data protection guidelines.
Stage two	You will be contacted to go through the options. Dependent on type of memorial. Maps will be checked for availability of choices. If choices are not available an alternative may be offered, or you may be placed on a waiting list.
Stage three	If a suitable site is identified and inscription proofs agreed by us, an exact specification will be given and you may purchase the plaque. Payments for the memorial will then be taken.
Stage four	Operational Delivery Team will then liaise with contractors and yourself.
Stage five	Installation on site by approved contractor.
Stage six	You will be informed that the memorial is in situ.

Time frames

On receipt of any request, we will aim to respond within 10 working days. Once an application has been approved and a space is available, it may take around 12 weeks for the installation of a bench and plaque. No guarantee on these timescales can be given. Severe weather conditions or other unexpected circumstances may extend this period, you will be kept informed during this time.
