Private Rented Sector Service
Overview
We are a brand-new team dedicated to the private rented sector working with landlords to ensure successful and affordable tenancies. We will carry out affordability checks to ensure the tenant can afford the rent and that they will be able to sustain their tenancy.
We are looking for landlords with HMOs, flats and houses for families and individuals across all parts of the Borough.
The aim is to support a positive landlord and tenant journey which benefits both parties, by helping landlords with stable lets it helps sustain successful tenancies and reduce homelessness.

The PRS Service will be at the Landlords Forum on Thursday 21 November and also attending the Landlord Energy Efficiency Advice Cafe at Theatre Porto, Ellesmere Port CH65 6QY on Wednesday 4 December 10.30am - 1.30pm.
What services do we offer?
The Private Rented Sector (PRS) Service provides a free tenant matching service for landlords and will put forward a choice of tenants who are ‘Tenancy Ready’.
We are here to minimise the risk of tenancy breakdown and will help to settle the tenant(s) into the property to ensure a supportive experience by providing a 12-week safety net to both parties.
Once staff are happy that support can be retracted, and both the landlord and tenant feel confident that things are going well, an exit plan will be implemented.
The tenant will be aware that the tenancy will undergo monitoring intervals over a 12-month period, and they will also understand that any difficulties they encounter should be raised with the team.
Landlords are supported throughout the tenancy period, with advice and guidance, mediation services and communication with the tenant.
