Street lighting and traffic lights

Temporary traffic signals are used for safety when undertaking works on the highway. All temporary lights must be applied for by contactors for approval by us before they can be used on the roads.

There should be an emergency contact number erected on a sign to report any issues with the temporary traffic signals with the company directly.

In the first instance, if possible, please contact the company directly to report an issue with the temporary traffic lights. Issues that need to be reported include:

• temporary traffic lights are all out
• temporary traffic lights are damaged
