Youth Work Strategy
Foreword
I am pleased and proud to present this Youth Work strategy for 2021-2024.
The Youth Service has really evolved and adapted since the last strategy in 2016. As well as delivering high quality targeted center-based youth provision and detached youth work that responds to local needs, the team have been supporting our most vulnerable young people by working with them one-to-one on a range of issues including child exploitation.
We have worked with the Youth Senate to refresh our Youth Work Vision and have carried out a public consultation on the priorities within the vision to ensure that we shape our youth services in a way that our young people and their parents or carers want
This strategy will provide the framework to enable us to deliver high quality targeted youth services across Cheshire West and Chester and sets out how we will work with our partners and stakeholders to provide our young people with the opportunities and experiences to help them fulfil their potential.
Our youth work will continue to strengthen the support already offered to young people.
The Council is committed to delivering high quality youth work and improving outcomes for our young people so that they have every opportunity to reach their full potential.
