Events on country parks and open spaces

We recognise the value and benefit that a safe and well managed outdoor events programme can offer people living, working and visiting the city. However, we will also have to assess your application while considering the impact of your event on park users, local residents, businesses, stakeholders and the environment.

Please note: there is a charge for holding an event at any of our parks which covers the costs of administration and services relating to the event. Each event is priced on application.

A copy of your public liability insurance may also be required if your event is open to the public. This should be uploaded as an attachment/photograph to your booking request.

If you are wanting to hold a large scale event, we would advise that you contact us to discuss as early as possible. Larger events may require for you to work with our Safety Advisory Group and this process can take up to 6 months. 

What happens next?

Once you have selected your preferred date and completed the required documentation, you will receive an email advising the booking is made provisionally. Once the details of your event have been confirmed and authorised you will receive a further email confirming your booking.

Cancellations can be made anytime.

Reoccurring bookings

You will be able to make reoccurring bookings for regular events. Please note reoccurring bookings can only be authorised for the period of your public liability insurance cover.
