Filming in Cheshire West and Chester

The Council welcome location shooting for film and television.

Over the past few years, we have welcomed many productions, including Missing You and Fool Me Once – Netflix, Cobra 3 and Outlander – Sky, The Tower 1 and 2 – ITV, War of the Worlds, Blue Peter, Hollyoaks and Peaky Blinders.

Filming is supported across the Council’s Highways, Events, Economic Growth, Green Spaces and Communications teams. We will check proposed filming dates and locations and share any events, bookings or issues for consideration.

The borough offers historic parks, forests, countryside, beautiful villages, Chester city centre with the world-famous Rows. There is the river Dee, canal, museums (including the Lion Salt Works), historic water mill the City Walls, Chester Cathedral plus industrial backdrops and much more.
