Skip licence

If you need to put skip on a footpath, road or verge we maintain, you'll need a licence. It's the responsibility of the company providing the skip to apply for and obtain a licence, not the householder or customer.

You don’t need a licence if you are placing the skip entirely on a driveway or unadopted road. You can check if a road is adopted by using our online gazetter.
