How to request a British Sign Language interpreter
Video interpreter
We are delighted to enable British Sign Language users to contact us using a British Sign Language video interpreter, via the InterpretersLive! service, provided by Sign Solutions.
The InterpretersLive! service is available on-demand 7 days a week between 8am - 8pm. You can also pre-book BSL Video Interpreters and other types of remote communication support for anytime and anywhere via any video platform of your choice.

Using a Textphone
If you use a Textphone you can contact us by dialling 18001 01606 275757 to connect directly to our switchboard via a BT Text direct operator.
Visiting our offices
If you would like to arrange a meeting at one of our buildings or libraries, or if you would like to attend a Council or Committee meeting then you can arrange for a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter to come with you. We could pay for a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter booked through our partner Deafness Support Network, or you can contact our Equality & Diversity Team on equalities@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk to enquire about an alternative interpreter or translation service.
