Company pensions
There are different types of workplace pensions available. They're also known as an occupational pension or company pension. You can find information on Gov.UK to help you manage your workplace pension, including pension protection, what to do if you change job or if you want to leave your workplace pension scheme.
New State Pension
The New State Pension is a regular payment from the government that you can claim if you were of state pension age on or after 6 April 2016 and have enough qualifying years of National Insurance.
Pension Credit
There are two parts to Pension Credit. One is 'Guarantee Credit' and the other is 'Savings Credit'. Pension credit is extra money to help with living costs if you're on a low income.
State Pension
State Pension is a regular payment you claim if you've paid enough years of National Insurance and if you're are either a:
- man born before 6 April 1951
- woman born before 6 April 1953.
If you were born after these dates, you'll need to claim the New State Pension.
