Chester will be hosting a Cathedral service and event in Town Hall Square on Sunday 7 May, there will be a number of highway restrictions to maintain public safety.
Suspension of parking, loading and unloading will be in place from the Storyhouse bollard location to St Johns Street from 8am until 3.30pm. This will prevent parking on St Werburgh Street and Eastgate Street for blue badges.
A road closure will be in place from the Northgate St Hut from 11.30am until 3.30pm. From 1pm until 3.30pm there is a road closure from the Hunter Street bollards. During this time there will be no access in or out of Abbey Square car park.
Alternative parking for blue badges is located at Kaleyards car park, Hamilton Place and to the north end of Northgate Street. In addition, parking is available at Trinity Street car park, Delamere Street car park and the new Market car park.
Blue Light emergency access is maintained at all times.
As the City is expected to be busy throughout the Coronation weekend the use of Park and Ride is encouraged.
