Easter Holiday Forest Fun

For 4 days during the Easter holidays we will be running Forest Adventure Club sessions at the Forest School area in the Countess of Chester Park.
The Holiday adventure sessions will follow the forest school ethos of child-led play and exploration, helping the young people to build resilience and confidence whilst exploring the outdoor environment.
Children will learn to be custodians of the natural environment by spending time outdoors and through activities such as story telling, plant and tree ID and bug hunting.
We will offer a range of games, stories and nature craft/bushcraft activities along with plenty of time for children to enjoy the woods with swings, hammocks and den making equipment.
We will provide food throughout the session, including fruit on arrival, a healthy campfire lunch to warm and feed us and campfire snacks e.g. popcorn or toasted apple.
Children will be encouraged to assist with preparing food for lunch to help them learn about nutrition and healthy eating. Food may consist of a hearty vegetable soup and homemade bread baked on the fire, veggie sausages or veggie burgers.

Our Family Wellbeing Walk Scavenger Hunt is a fun-filled outdoor adventure that combines nature exploration, physical activity, and family bonding. Families will receive a task sheet with exciting challenges, such as spotting local wildlife, taking photos with a smartphone, and completing fun exercises along the way. Edsential are excited to tell you that we are running a Free Holiday Activity club for during the upcoming Spring holiday. The club is for young people age 8 up to the age of 14 with moderate special educational needs and disabilities, who are eligible for means tested free school meals. Our staff are all experienced working with students with such needs. Unfortunately, we will NOT be able to provide any personal care such as toileting.
Our family day at Tattenhall Outdoor Centre will offer a variety of exciting activities including Low ropes, Tree climbing, Zip wire, team building, egg hunt, planting and hammocks. There will be a real mix of activities to suit everyone. A guardian must attend alongside the young person but we also welcome siblings too.
Places are limited, we will be checking free school meal eligibility. If you care for a young person who would like to attend but is not eligible for free school meals then we may have some paid spaces available at the charge of £35 per session, however priority will be given to free school meals pupils., please get in touch to discuss if this.

For 4 days during the Easter holidays we will be running Forest Adventure Club sessions at the Forest School area in the Countess of Chester Park.
The Holiday adventure sessions will follow the forest school ethos of child-led play and exploration, helping the young people to build resilience and confidence whilst exploring the outdoor environment.
Children will learn to be custodians of the natural environment by spending time outdoors and through activities such as story telling, plant and tree ID and bug hunting.
We will offer a range of games, stories and nature craft/bushcraft activities along with plenty of time for children to enjoy the woods with swings, hammocks and den making equipment.
We will provide food throughout the session, including fruit on arrival, a healthy campfire lunch to warm and feed us and campfire snacks e.g. popcorn or toasted apple.
Children will be encouraged to assist with preparing food for lunch to help them learn about nutrition and healthy eating. Food may consist of a hearty vegetable soup and homemade bread baked on the fire, veggie sausages or veggie burgers.
