Parking Strategy

These plans are part of the Council's 15-year parking strategy and are designed to better manage parking demand and improve facilities.

Parking study

Specialist transport consultants, Mott MacDonald, were commissioned by the Council to undertake a borough-wide parking study.

The primary aim of the study was to carry out a review of all parking-related matters in west Cheshire to identify options and recommend actions, ensuring they are consistent with the Council's other strategies and policies. The study also takes into account future developments and regeneration proposals.

Consultation

The Parking Strategy was subject to widespread public consultation. After the consultation the recommendations were adopted by the Council, subject to pre-implementation action plans being prepared for each centre.
