Annual Report

Last year, we launched Play Your Part - our Council Plan for the next four years, which sets out how we will all play our part in building greener, fairer and stronger communities. Working with common purpose alongside our residents, public services, and businesses, it looked to harness the strengths, hopes and dreams of our communities, so that fewer people will be held back or left behind.

In December, we built on this plan to reflect the impact of COVID-19. Stronger Futures will move us through the pandemic crisis together, preparing our borough for a stronger future which addresses the vulnerabilities exposed over the last year, and grasps new opportunities.

The last twelve months have been the most demanding in the history of our borough, as they have been globally. However, we have completely embedded our vision to tackle COVID-19 and a range of other challenges - supporting our local communities and helping the wider national public sector through what has been an incredibly difficult time.

With our local relationships considerably strengthened, we have been able to drive forward significant, values-based programmes of work, and are in a strong position to support a fair and sustainable future for everyone in Cheshire West and Chester. This latest Annual Report details that progress.
