Annual Report 2018West Cheshire has a population of 338,000 and is made up of the historic city of Chester, industrial and market towns, such as Northwich, Winsford and Ellesmere Port, and rural villages. It has a diverse range of communities, scenery and heritage.

There are 75 elected members of Cheshire West and Chester Council representing the 46 wards that make up the area. The Council is made up of 38 Labour, 35 Conservative and two independent Councillors.
