Where to find help
If you are aged 16 to 19 years and not in education, employment or training, we can help you plan for the future and make the most of your life and career opportunities.
Apprenticeships
An Apprenticeship is a real job with training so you can earn while you learn and pick up recognised qualifications as you go. If you live in England, are over 16 and not in full time education you can apply.
Many famous people have been apprentices in the past. Jamie Oliver (celebrity chef), John Frieda (stylist), Ruth Badger (runner up on the Apprentice) and Alexander McQueen (fashion designer) all completed apprenticeships when they left school, and it has led to successful careers.
Your career
The National Careers Service website has a range of tools to help you including a CV builder, skills health check, action plans and more.
The websites below are also a useful resource for careers advice.
Learning
It can be hard to choose between the huge range of qualifications available today. Different types of qualification suit different people.
