Frodsham recycling centre
Changes to the recycling centre from 15 December 2023
Signage will show a new lane and parking area and a pedestrian route will be marked from the entrance. Only three cars will be allowed to unload to stop congestion.
Vehicles over 5m in length and trailers will not be permitted.
Car-derived vans and all commercial vehicles (including pick-up trucks) are not permitted.
Rubble will no longer be accepted at the site.
Changes will be made to what items can be accepted at the site.

Next open: Friday: 8am - 4pm
The gates may be closed before the closing times to allow those on the site to dispose of their waste.
Winter opening hours, October to March
- Monday & Tuesday: 8am - 4pm
- Wednesday & Thursday: Closed
- Friday - Sunday: 8am - 4pm
When visiting this site you will be required to provide proof of residency and you should also follow our code of conduct.
Cooking oil, glass bottles, household batteries, paper and plastic bottles can be recycled using your kerbside collection.

Safety and restrictions
- we do not accept asbestos, gas cylinders/bottles or tyres
- car-derived vans and all commercial vehicles (including pick-up trucks) are not permitted
- vehicles above 5m in length and all trailers are not permitted
- only four cars allowed to stop congestion
- sites may close earlier if dark
Do you need a permit?
You no longer need a permit for this centre. We now monitor visits using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), mystery shoppers and body camera technology.
