Bus Service Enhancements
Bus Service Improvement Plan funding has enabled us to boost some of the bus services in the borough. We have increased some frequencies, introduced evening services and reacted to the commercial market whereby some services could be withdrawn.
£2 Bus Fare Cap
Passengers can take advantage of capped fares on these services with an adult single journey costing £2. From 1 January 2025 the Fare Cap will rise to £3 for a single adult journey

Service N3 |
Northwich – Mount Pleasant – Moulton |
A new bus service has been introduced in the Northwich area. The N3 restores links between Northwich town centre, the Mount Pleasant area of Davenham and Moulton village. This service which will also serve Kingsmead and will operate hourly from 10am to 2pm on Mondays to Fridays. The service is operated by Warrington’s Own Buses. |

Improved frequency from hourly to half hourly. Mondays to Saturdays and is operated by Stagecoach. |

Ellesmere Port – Guilden Sutton - Chester |
This service now operates on Saturdays by Stagecoach. |

Chester Railway Station – Chester City Centre |
Extended operational hours and additional journeys now operate from 7am to 7pm Mondays to Saturdays, rather than 9am to 5pm. The service is operated by Aintree Coachline. |

This service is now supported by the Council and operated by D&G Bus. |

The service has been renumbered from 272 and continues to operate the same timetable by Aintree Coachline. |

Additional Evening Journeys will operate between Chester and Cheshire Oaks Monday to Saturdays operated by Stagecoach. |

Additional evening journeys will operate Mondays to Fridays operated by Stagecoach. |

Northwich – Winsford – Middlewich – Sandbach |
Evenings services will be provided between Northwich and Sandbach Mondays to Saturdays in partnership with Cheshire East Council and operated by D&G Bus. This service will also replace the Nightlife Express service X31 journeys. |
