Winsford waterfront

A new waterways strategy is under development which focuses on making improvements to the rivers which run through the town and their surrounding environment.

Improvements include enhancing the public access to the water, providing associated sport and leisure facilities and making environmental changes for people to spend more leisure time beside the water.

Council officers are developing the strategy and plan to consult residents in 2023.

A new masterplan of potential improvements is being developed and officers are exploring funding opportunities.
