Landscape

This area of the website provides information about the work of the landscape team. The team have a variety of responsibilities, with the aim of implementing local environmental improvements in response to current policy and strategies.

Landscape and open space policy

We recognise that open spaces and landscape features in the borough's built environment is fundamental to 'quality of life'. Through Local Plan policy we aim to protect and enhance the important landscape framework and features of Cheshire West and Chester.

Development consultation

The landscape team seeks to ensure that development does not adversely affect the landscape character that is special to Cheshire West and Chester. As specialist consultees in the planning process we offer advice and professional opinion.

Environmental improvements

Design and delivery of a broad range of open space improvements to meet local need and positively impact on the quality of life for people in Cheshire West and Chester.
