We have a wide range of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers and eResources free of charge.

Our libraries are now fine-free for children aged 0 to 12 years so they will no longer be charged for any overdue items. Any pre-existing late charges have been removed from their accounts.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am - 5pm
  • Thursday: 9am - 6pm
  • Saturday: 9.30am - 1pm

Regular activities

Monday

  • Jigsaw Club: 10am - 12pm, weekly. Love jigsaws? All welcome to come along and join others for a few hours of jigsaw fun together. You can help complete our community jigsaw or start one yourself.
  • Baby explorers: 10am, weekly. The sessions are aimed at new parents with babies aged 0-12 months. A chance for babies to explore their surroundings using sensory toys and for new parents to meet and chat, Drop in.

Tuesday

  • Wellbeing Walk: 10am, weekly, meet outside the library. Join us for fresh air and a chat. Walks will be a gentle pace approximately 45 minutes long around Blacon. Suitable for all abilities. For more information please contact 078724 64989 or email: HealthRanger@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk 
  • Rhymetime for under fives: 10.30am – 11am, weekly.

Wednesday

  • Scrabble Club: 10am –12pm, weekly
  • Lego Club: 3.30pm – 4.30pm, weekly . 5+ years. Parental supervision required.

Thursday

  • Children’s Colouring Club: 3pm - 4pm, weekly. Children's colouring club is a great choice to kill some time between school and tea-time. Adult supervision is required.
  • Not a reading group: 4.30pm - 5.30pm, second Thursday of the month

Friday

  • Stories and Rhymes: 2.30pm - 3pm, Join us for stories, rhymes and lots of fun. Suitable for under 5's.

Saturday

  • Family Board Games & Colouring: 10am –12pm, weekly
