Delamere Forest Park
Delamere Forest is Cheshire's largest area of woodland with plenty of opportunities to walk, cycle or horse ride through shady woodlands, along forest paths or by the side of open water. A great destination for cycling, the site has smooth sandy tracks with only a few gentle hills providing an ideal surface, perfect for an afternoon's family cycle ride.
Delamere is also a haven for wildlife. Keep an eye out for the beautiful small tortoiseshell butterfly, greater spotted woodpecker, white faced darter dragonfly, green woodpecker, siskin and southern hawker dragonfly.
At Blakemere Lake there are nesting black headed gulls that you will be able to see and hear.
