Stanney Woods Local Nature Reserve
Stanney Woods is an ancient woodland of oak and silver birch, with some hazel and holly. It is excellent for bird watching and also exceptionally good for fungi in the autumn.
Stanney Woods Wildlife Group is a new group of local people who will be help with conservation work, habitat creation, woodland crafts, site maintenance, fundraising and improving the profile of Stanney Woods, amongst other activities. Please contact the Ranger if you would like to be involved.
Location
There is a small car park located just off the A5117.
Accessibility
Stanney Woods has excellent easy access for all, with a well surfaced network of level paths.
