Planning an event

If you are planning a public event you will need to fill in an events application form. You can also add your event onto the what's on guide. For a copy of the current event guidance please email the Arts team.

Following a review, of the Council Events and Safety Advisory Group process, there is a change to the way applications are made. For any outdoor event please submit a form using the link below.

As part of this process, the Event Guidance has also been updated. This will be circulated automatically following an application submission. This also introduces the Protection of Premises Bill, which will become law in 2025.

If your event requires any of the following:

  • use of Council owned or managed land. (which includes the highway or the River Dee)
  • requires a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order, then your event is subject to an administration fee. This fee is payable as part of the application process
  • Events up to 499 persons including participants and spectators, a fee of £138 (inclusive of VAT) will apply
  • Events with 500 or more persons including participants and spectators, a fee of £252 (inclusive of VAT) will apply
  • if your event does not require the use of Council owned or managed land or require a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order there is no fee. Please submit the form with the required information. This helps understand multiple events in the same area which may impact each other. There are no fees for these events on private land

Till such time the new form is in place, you will be contacted by phone to make payment.
