Housing related support
Further information
Forfutures work with people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. They provide support and help people into safe, secure housing and provide them with opportunities to build a more positive and sustainable future.
Forfutures is delivered by ForHousing, a strategic partner to us. They also manage 5500 council-owned homes across Ellesmere Port, Neston and Winsford.
Supported accommodation has support staff on site or visiting support staff depending on the scheme. Forfutures staff manage the accommodation and support the residents. There are rules around occupation and every individual living there will sign an occupancy agreement outlining the rules and conditions of their stay. If they don’t maintain the rules they will be asked to leave.
There will be a 24-hour number that local residents can ring to report issues or concerns. Forfutures also has a dedicated email address which is hello@forfutures.co.uk. The service manager will address any issues raised.
Homelessness in Cheshire West
On 31 March 2021, there were 215 households in temporary accommodation of which 172 were in hotels. We currently continue to accommodate all verified rough sleepers under the ‘Everybody In’ pandemic response. We also take action to get people off the streets during cold weather under the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP).
The response to the pandemic has provided a unique opportunity to dramatically reduce rough sleeping across the borough. The number of people sleeping rough across the borough has fallen steeply, because the majority of people who were on the streets are accommodated in hotels and supported accommodation projects.
