Cost of care - information for care homes
The Council undertook a comprehensive cost of care review of our care home fee rates in 2021. We received a really positive response from the market, covering 47 percent of all our commissioned beds in borough, which resulted in significant increases to the majority of our contracted fee rates from April 2022.
Due to this we did not need to carry out the whole exercise again. We have reviewed all of our previous results to make them compliant with government requirements for the exercise, ensuring they accurately reflect the median actual operating costs of providers in April 2022.
