Market Position Statement 2023 - 2033
Our Commissioning Intentions
General
- We are developing a model for co-production to ensure services that we commission are what people want to live a great life. For example, our specifications will start to include ‘I statements’ and we will expect providers to demonstrate how they will meet these; we will involve people more in the procurement process; and we will focus our quality assurance processes on people’s experience. We shall implement our co-production model in 2023.
- We want to continue our work with the Community Sector to create an environment which encourages and nurtures the development of a vibrant and diverse community sector market.
- We will continue our roll-out of provider fora which give providers, Council and partners the opportunity to come together to explore challenges, celebrate successes and continue to improve,
- We are establishing Market Shaping Collaboratives to shape the market of the future and want to work with people who use services, providers and other organisations on some of our more important and challenging issues. In 2023/24 we will establish Market Shaping Collaboratives to focus on the following:
- Outcome based commissioning
- Supported accommodation
- We intend to create a Cheshire West and Chester Health and Care Workforce Academy to create a sustainable pipeline of future social care workers along with an attractive career pathway.
- In 23/24 we intend to pilot continuous quality improvement partnerships and reward schemes with some of our CQC regulated providers.
