Client finance portal

Our Client Finance portal allows you/your appointed representative to access financial documents relating to your Adult Social Care support services, such as your financial assessment outcome letters, your direct payments remittance advice and/or your deferred payment scheme statements via a secure online portal.

Who can access the portal?

You - if you are the person who is receiving services and you have capacity to manage your own financial affairs, or a third party with the necessary legal authority to act in relation to finances by way of either a Lasting Power of Attorney, Appointeeship or Deputyship Order.

Where can I access the portal?

For further information regarding the Client Finance Portal, to create an account and/or request access to records via the Client Finance Portal, you will need to submit a request to our Client Finance team.

Please ensure you have copies of your Lasting Power of Attorney / Deputyship / Appointee documents to upload in your request.

What happens next?

We will review your access request and check you have the correct authority to be given access. If necessary, we may contact you via telephone to carry out any necessary security checks to ensure the request is legitimate and you are entitled to view financial documents.

The outcome of your request will be sent to you by email. If you have been approved, you will be sent the link to the Client Finance Portal. Once you are sent the link you will need to register for an account, which will then follow with a verification email.

Once you're registered and verified on the portal, you will be able to request to view your own documents if you are the person in receipt of chargeable care services, or the documents of someone else providing you have the appropriate powers in place to do so.

Can I make a request to see the documents of more than one person?

Yes – if you have the appropriate legal powers in place for more than one person i.e. for your mum and dad, then you are able to make a request to view the financial documents for each of them on the portal. You would need to make a separate request for each person and if your request is approved, you will be able to log in and view the documents for each person individually.

Can more than one appointed person view a person’s documents?

Yes – if there is a joint Power of Attorney or joint Deputyship order in place, each appointed person can request access to view documents via the portal.

How will we know if there are new documents to view via the portal?

An email will be sent to your registered email address to inform you that there are new documents to view on the portal. You will need to log into the portal to view the documents.
