Set up a Direct Debit

The quickest and easiest way to pay is to set up a Direct Debit. Instalments go out each month over the year, and will automatically continue when a new Council Tax year begins.

You need to have your bank account details and your council tax account reference to hand.

Please note: If you have received a summons, recovery letter or final notice then you have lost your right to pay by instalments.You will need to contact us by emailing counciltax@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk to discuss your account.

If you need to amend or change an existing Direct Debit you can also use this online form.

Set up a Direct Debit by post

You will need to download and print the Council Tax Direct Debit mandate form, fill it in and return it to the address on the form.
