How to request a British Sign Language support interpreter

If you are a deaf person wanting access to any of the services provided by us we are here to help you.

Using a Textphone

If you use a Textphone you can contact us by dialling 18001 01606 275757 to connect directly to our switchboard via a BT Text direct operator.

Visiting our offices

If you would like to arrange a meeting at one of our buildings or libraries, or if you would like to attend a Council or Committee meeting then you can arrange for a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter to come with you. We could pay for a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter booked through our partner Deafness Support Network, or you can contact our Equality & Diversity Team on equalities@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk to enquire about an alternative interpreter or translation service.
