Work continues to maintain and develop the borough’s wonderful wildflower meadows
Native wildflower meadows created by Cheshire West and Chester Council’s StreetCare teams have been much-admired by residents and visitors this summer.
The displays of wildflowers were grown to give pollinators, like bees, a boost in the borough and definitely caused a buzz on social media, with lots of compliments.
The Council’s wildflower displays were created using a bespoke Cheshire seed mix that was created by the Wildflower Centre based at the Eden Project.
Now autumn is here, many of the displays are starting to die back and the time has come to implement the next phase of the project - reseeding the native wildflower meadows.
