The Lord Mayor of Chester supports the Samaritan’s Brew Monday by opening up Chester Town Hall

On Monday 20 January 2025, the Lord Mayor of Chester will be opening Chester Town Hall to residents and visitors for them to enjoy the splendours of this magnificent building and learn about Chester’s Civic history, including why Chester has a Lord Mayor.
Councillor Razia Daniels said:

The event and refreshments are free, but donations to the Samaritans and the Lord Mayor's charities are welcome. The Town Hall, at Northgate Street, CH1 2HJ, will be open from 11am to 3pm. There will be a special talk at 2pm for anyone interested in learning why Chester has a Lord Mayor and a Sheriff.

Please only bring small bags into the Town Hall, as larger ones may be subject to searches.
