Get involved with a new All-Age Autism and Neurodiversity Partnership Board

Cheshire West and Chester Council, working with partners in the NHS, community sector and volunteers, is calling on people and organisations to become representatives on a new All-Age Autism and Neurodiversity Partnership Board.
Representatives can be:
- people with lived experience of autism or neurodiversity
- family members or carers of a neurodiverse person
- organisations that support neurodiverse people.
They will play a key role with helping shape the support available locally for neurodiverse people and their families.
The Partnership Board will build on the work of existing groups and help coproduce a Cheshire West All-Age Autism and Neurodiversity Strategy, which will set ambitions locally for neurodiverse people and their loved ones.
Councillor Sheila Little, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Its important neurodiverse people have the same opportunities as everyone else and this new All-Age Autism and Neurodiversity Partnership Board will play a key role in shaping the support available locally.
“Coproducing the All-Age Autism and Neurodiversity Strategy is so important, and we want people with lived experience to be involved from the very start, highlighting how they feel we can best meet their needs.
“We’re hoping to welcome a wide range of people and organisations with different experiences to the Partnership Board.
“I’d encourage anyone who’d like to be involved with the Partnership Board to attend the first meeting, take part in the discussions and be part of this important work.”
