Extra summer activities for young people in Northwich

Additional activities for young people have been organised in Northwich this summer following some complaints of anti-social behaviour at Moss Farm.
Events for young people have included football events which have been co-ordinated by the Cheshire Football Association. The next event on 27 August is a girls’ only event following the Lionesses’ success earlier this month.
Brio Bootcamp is also currently taking place every Wednesday at Northwich Lifestyle Centre between 10am and 12noon.
Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire Police have received a number of complaints relating to youth ASB at Moss Farm from nearby residents.
The borough’s Community Safety Partnership including the Council, Cheshire Police, Brio Leisure and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service have developed an action plan to deter anyone involved with ASB at the centre. The action plan includes increased on-site security and additional CCTV cameras have also been installed to capture evidence of anyone involved with ASB or crime and disorder.

I’m delighted additional activities were arranged through partners for young people in the area during the summer months. This multi-agency approach to tackling larger groups at Moss Farm demonstrates how we all work together to make a difference in our communities. Partners will continue to engage with young people in the area.

Moss Farm is a fantastic local amenity for all people in Northwich to enjoy. We have been working very hard with our partners at Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cheshire Fire and Rescue and Brio Leisure to implement some practical and sustainable measures to help residents and businesses in the area.
