Briefing Session for candidates and agents UK Parliamentary General Election - 4 July 2024

Virtual session at 6pm on Thursday 30 May

Cheshire West and Chester is holding a briefing session for those intending to stand as a candidate or act as an agent in the upcoming UK Parliamentary General Election in the following Constituencies:

  • Chester North and Neston
  • Chester South and Eddisbury
  • Ellesmere Port and Bromborough
  • Mid-Cheshire

This virtual session will be held online (hosted via MS Teams) at 6pm on Thursday 30 May – to book your place please contact Emma Lawrence by email emma.lawrence@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk or telephone 01244 977084

All prospective candidates and agents are encouraged to attend the session which will cover the election timetable, the nomination process and provide an overview of the processes, including the new requirements of the Elections Act 2022.

Nomination packs will be available from Wednesday 29 May for collection from The Portal, Wellington Road, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH65 0BA or to request electronic copies please contact Emma Lawrence on the contacts given above. Subsequently, nominations will be received in person at The Portal, Wellington Road, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH65 0BA by appointment between 10am and 4pm from Wednesday 5 June until Friday 7 June, details of how to book a slot will be in the nomination packs. Please note that all nomination papers must have been checked and formally received in person by 4pm on Friday 7 June.
