Gypsies and Travellers

Below is a list of unauthorised encampments in the Cheshire and Warrington area. These are shown by Council area.

Each unauthorised encampment is given a name based on where it was first reported. The exact location of the encampment may be somewhere nearby. Similarly, there may be a slightly different number of caravans reported when the group first arrive. There is a procedure for dealing with encampments and the information is updated as this progresses. If you have checked the list below and want to tell us about a new encampment, please use our reporting form.

 

Cheshire West and Chester

 Whitby Park, Stanney lane, Ellesmere Port

• Arrived: 24 September 2026
• Current status: The group have not adhered to the S77 notice, so our Team have forwarded all documentation to Our Legal Team, to obtain a court order so the group can be moved on.
