When will a decision be made?
We would normally expect to let you know our decision on your application within 30 days of receiving it.
Will tacit consent apply?
Yes. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from us by the end of the target completion period.

Consumer complaint
We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the trader by you - preferably in the form of a letter (with proof of delivery). If that has not worked, further information about making a complaint can be found on our information for consumers page.
Prevention of fraud
We are under a duty to protect the public funds we administer. To this end we may use the information we hold for the prevention and detection of fraud, which also includes for the assessment and/or collection of any tax or duty. This will include sharing of information held internally and with external organisations where the law allows.
